Campus
The entire campus is Wi-Fi enabled with a high speed internet connection to allow the students to access the internet no-matter wherever they are. The coverage of Wi-Fi is not only restricted to class rooms but also extends to all the areas including library, Seminar Halls, Class Rooms, Corridors and hostels.
The campus was provided with to Wi-Fi environment through Siemens with 54 mbps IEEE 802.1g network standards. In order to avail local server with e-library, all server based labs such as Oracle, IBM Rational Rose, Aptitude and career lab, English language lab, MAT Lab are connected along with Internet facility. Siting at any place in the campus students can access all the above lab contents. Upgrading the internetinfrastructure consistently towards Hi-tech and e-Learning methodologies in the learning process given top priority.
DIET is one of the few Colleges, which can boast of its state-of-the-art computing resources and network across the campus. It has IT Infrastructure that can support 900+ computer terminals, probably one of the largest wi-fi infrastructure. Following are a few highlighting features:

Currently the college is equipped with 110mbps leased-line 1:1. Institute is also planning to double the bandwidth capacity about 140mbps in due course of time to provide faster service.

The Engineering Computer Center serves as the hub for computer educational services and support for the College of Engineering. The center manages more than 100 workstations along with printers,  scanners and sophisticated software for student and faculty use.

Our center plays a crucial role in supporting learning by providing students the opportunity to train on widely used and emerging software such as CAD, SolidWorks Matlab and more. We also provide sandboxes for website application development. All our services are provided with free of cost to Dhanekula students.

The Engineering Computing Center (ECC) is a computing lab set up for engineering students only. During an average day, hundreds of students pass through the ECC doors. The ECC provides workstations running Windows 7 and Ubuntu with all licensed application software’s. These systems are all connected to the campus network, through which they can access other workstations, including various servers, as well as the entire Internet. The entire facility is open from 8.00 AM to 6.00 PM.

The College is provided with an air-conditioned Auditorium with a fully sound proof set up and equipped with latest technology for all types of audio/video presentations. 
All the departments have well furnished seminar hall in their Block. The seminar hall has a seating capacity of around 250 students and is equipped with audio-visual systems. The seminar hall has provisions for setup of LCD projectors and laptops. The seminar hall is mainly used for guest lectures, training programmes, placements training, staff development programmes and class interaction meetings.
The institution has sufficient number of spacious and highly ventilated classrooms. All Classrooms are well-furnished and well ventilated, and supported with modern teaching gadgets.
Separate tutorial classrooms are available in each department for slow learners and for remedial classes.
DIET can assure you with uninterrupted 24x7 electricity back up system for the students, faculty all over the year. We committed to provide unhindered and uninterrupted supply of power to run the computers, air-conditioners, fans, electrical appliances, labs and workshops smoothly. We cannot let any academic, administrative or any other important work suffer on account of power failure. So, there is unfailing provision for round the clock power back up. A generator with total capacity of 250 KVA have been installed which ensure twenty four hour power backup in academic area, office, class rooms, labs, canteen, boys hostel, girls hostel and all other prominent parts in the college premises.
To co-ordinate the non-academic functions within the departments like organizing Group Discussions, and Seminars by eminent personalities from the various industries/fields, debates & quiz, preparation for campus interviews.  To promote synergy among the students by promoting interactions and exchange of ideas.  To upgrade the professional skills that enables students to face the challenges of modern world.
About the Alumni Association

The Alumni association of Dhanekula Institute is called ………. This was registered under Societies Act XXI of 1860 with Society No. 140 in 2009. The office headquarters of ………. is in the premises of Dhanekula Institute of Engineering Technology, Ganguru- 521139, A.P., India.
The mission of the alumni association is to faster a mutually beneficial relationship between the DIET and its alumni to maintain a link and to share their details of employment and achievements. This Association is purely a non-sectarian, a non-communal and also a non-political body.
Further, it maintains a link with the old students of DIET Campus to advise and assist the present students DIET always considers its alumni as a source of strength, support and in its endeavors of innovation to activate its functioning a committee has been constituted to provide vision, guidance and co-ordinate the all-round activities of the Alumni Association. Alumni are a part of these processes of continuity & change and tradition of modernity. DIET seeks to institutionalize these bonds between alumni and alma mater through the Association into a life long relationship.
DIET believes that Alumni are good will ambassadors for the College. DIET alumni spread far and wide globally and done their Alma Mater proud by excelling themselves as academicians, administrators, scientists, engineers scholars and entrepreneurs. The members of the Alumni family who live in the nook and corner of the world can feel togetherness to reach the great heights of excellence in their respective fields.

O B J E C T I V E S

1.    To encourage, and develop close relations between the Institution and its alumni and among the alumni themselves.

2.    To promote and encourage cordial relationship between all members of the alumni body, an interest in the affairs and well-being of the Institution.

3.    To assist and support the efforts of the Institution in obtaining funds for development of the institution.

4.     To serve as a forum  through which alumni may support and advance the pursuit of academic excellence at the Institution.

5.     To guide and assist alumni who have recently completed their courses to obtain employment and engage in productive pursuits useful to society.

6.    To organize and co-ordinate reunion activities of the Alumni and let the Alumni acknowledge their gratitude to their Alma Matter.


DIET NCC aimed to develop qualities of character, courage, comradeship, discipline, leadership, secular outlook, spirit of adventure and sportsmanship and the ideals of selfless service among the youth to make them useful citizen. To create a human resource of organized, trained and motivated youth to provide leadership in all walks of life including the Armed Forces and be always available for the service of the nation.

Introduction

The National Cadet Corps is headed by a Director General, an Army Officer of the rank of Lieutanant General, who is responsible for the functioning of the National Cadet Corps in the country through the parade.National Cadet Corps Headquarters situated at Delhi. At the State Level, the country has been divided into 17 Directorates covering all States and Union Territories. Each of the State National Cadet Corps Directorate Headquarters controls two to fourteen Group Headquarters. While Directorates are commanded by Brigadiers or their equivalents, the Groups are commanded by Colonels or equivalents from the Air Force and the Navy, NCC Units are commanded by Major/Lieutenant Colonel or their equivalents.

NCC History

National Cadet Corps is a Tri-Services Organization , comprising the Army, Navy and Air Force, engaged in grooming the youth of the country into disciplined and patriotic citizens.

“I do hereby solemnly promise that I will serve my motherland most truly and loyally and that, I will abide by the rules and regulations of the National Cadet Corps. Further under the command control of my commanding officer Will participate in every camp most sincerely and wholeheartedly”

We the Cadet of the National Cadet Corps, do solemnly pledge that we shall always uphold the unity of India. we resolved to be disciplined and responsible citizen of our nation. We shall undertake positive community service in the spirit of selflessness and concern for our fellow beings.

NCC Activities

DIET takes great care & welfare of its students The College has a luxurious, comfort & well-designed hostels for both boys & girls separately with in the campus. The Chairman, Sri Dhanekula Ravindranath Tagore Garu takes special care on both hostels regularly. The hostel buildings designed with marble flooring, spacious rooms with individual wardrobes, attached wash rooms and offer natural ventilation in abundance and lush green landscaped surroundings. and are very close to the academic complex. Each hostel block is supervised by a resident warden who closely monitors the activities of students and address to their needs. students from various places join together. The hostels truly reflect cultural diversity which gives opportunity for students to improve their interpersonal communication skills.

Hostels are also provided with Guest Room facilities for the stay of Parents. A separate room is provided for watching Television and for reading News papers. Television is connected with Cable network. A car along with a driver is at their disposal during the night times for use at the time of any emergency.

Some of the key features of our hostel facilities are:
    --> Large dining halls, water heating systems in each hostel to get hot water for bathing.
    --> Water coolers in every block.
    --> Dispensary facility with a qualified doctor who takes care of sick students.
    --> wi-fi and Intranet and Internet connectivity.
    --> Separate courts for Volleyball, Basketball, Cricket, Hockey and Badminton
    --> An exclusive library with digital and multimedia facility, newspapers, magazines, journals, books related to        academics and competitive exams like GRE, GATE etc.
