About Diet
Overview: -Dhanekula Institute of Engineering & Technology—an institution that has been a beacon of quality education and innovation since its inception in 2009 under the able leadership of Sri.Dhanekual Ravindranadh Tagore, chairman, DIET. Established under the Dhanekula Venkata Subbaiah Charitable Trust, our college is committed to uplifting society by providing quality education, especially to underprivileged communities in rural areas.
We offer nine undergraduate programs with an intake of 884 students in B.Tech. (CSE, CSE-AIML, CSE-DS, IT, ECE, ECE-II, EEE, ME, and CE), along with two postgraduate programs in M.Tech. (CSE and CE – Environmental Science).
The institute is permanently affiliated with JNTUK Kakinada University, and four of our branches—CSE, ECE, EEE, and ME—have been accredited by the NBA, demonstrating our academic rigor. UGC has conferred Autonomous status from the academic year 2023-24, and adding to this milestone, NAAC has awarded us an ‘A’ Grade accreditation, effective from 16-01-2025, further validating our excellence in academic and administrative standards. Additionally, we hold the ISO 9001:2015 certification,reflecting our unwavering commitment to quality education.
We take pride in our industry collaborations, including the R&D laboratory established by Dronix Pvt. Ltd., Israel, in May 2023. Strengthening our research ecosystem, we have also established a Technology Business Incubator (TBI) for IoT-based agricultural applications, funded by the MSME, Government of India, with a grant of ₹37.5 lakhs. Additionally, grants from Civil Consultancy, MSME-TBI, U Lab Systems, and Optronix Engineering Ltd. amount to ₹16.5 lakhs, further supporting our research initiatives. Our institute has signed 45 MoUs with various industries, fostering strong academic-industry linkages.We are also proud to host industry-sponsored laboratories, including NVIDIA’s AI-Mediated Reality Drone R&D (DRONIX) Lab. JNTU Kakinada has sanctioned an R&D center at our college for Ph.D. research, and eight of our professors have been recognized as research guides, with three Ph.D. scholars currently registered under their mentorship.

In terms of student success, we have achieved remarkable placement records, with 1,803 students securing positions in leading software companies with an average package of ₹6 LPA. Additionally, over 100 students have pursued higher education in prestigious institutions over the past six years.In the academic year 2024-25, we proudly serve 2,979 undergraduate and 17 postgraduate students, supported by 164 dedicated and well qualified faculty members and 31 non-teaching staff, all committed to nurturing future professionals and leaders. Our college spans 10.29 acres, featuring 100% smart classrooms, state-of-the-art laboratories, a digital resource library, conference and seminar halls, and a participative management approach that ensures decentralized and inclusive governance.
